Vinyl & Independent Music in Seville
At La Ilustre, music isn't background noise. It's part of the experience. Turntable always spinning, carefully curated selection, and sessions where analogue and digital coexist without pretension.
We're at Calle Correduría, 35 (Old Town). Wednesday to Sunday.
Here, vinyl has its place. And its audience.
La Ilustre was born with a turntable on the bar. Not as decoration, but as a statement of intent. We believe music deserves attention, that a well-chosen record changes the atmosphere, and that there's a difference between listening and hearing.
Our collection grows every week: indie, soul, jazz, funk, afrobeat, electronic, post-punk, bossa nova... We don't follow a genre: we follow taste. If it sounds good and has something to say, it has a place on our shelf.
- Turntable always spinning during service
- Own collection of over 500 vinyl records
- Eclectic selection: from jazz to post-punk, soul to afrobeat

A menu of sounds
We don't commit to any single genre. What unites us is taste: music with soul, independent and quality.
Indie / Alternative
guitars | atmosphere | attitude
From the most ethereal shoegaze to indie rock with bite. Bands that sound like garages, highways and truth.
Soul / Funk / R&B
groove | warmth | rhythm
The groove that moves. Motown, Stax, 70s funk and contemporary neo-soul. Always warm, always rhythmic.
Jazz / Bossa Nova
improvisation | elegance | depth
From Coltrane to Jobim, bebop to contemporary jazz. Perfect for slow afternoons and long conversations.
Electronic / Ambient
textures | space | hypnotic
From cosmic ambient to melodic house. Sound textures to get lost in.
Afrobeat / World
percussive | vibrant | global
Fela Kuti, Mulatu Astatke, psychedelic cumbia. World rhythms that connect with everyone.
Post-Punk / New Wave
dark | angular | energy
Bass lines that cut, mechanical drums and attitude. The dark energy every good night needs.

A bar designed for listening
The sound system isn't an accessory: it's part of the project. We've designed the space so music is heard well, without shouting and without getting lost. A balance between bar, living room and listening club.
- Quality sound system
- Accessible turntable area
- Carefully considered acoustics
At the epicentre of vinyl in Seville
La Ilustre sits in the heart of Seville's vinyl shop circuit. Just a few metres away you'll find some of the city's best record stores.
If you buy a record at one of the neighbourhood's vinyl shops — Record Sevilla, TotemTanz, Discos Latimore, Tattoos y Discos Sublima — bring it over and we'll play it. The idea is simple: enjoy music the way it deserves, on vinyl, while you have a beer, a Sherry cocktail or even a coffee, depending on the time and your mood.
Vinyl Tuesdays
Tuesdays are our vinyl day. Bring your freshly bought record, order something and listen to it the way it deserves. A weekly ritual for those who understand music is better enjoyed this way.
Record Sevilla
Seville's reference shop. Indie, rock, electronic and rarities.
TotemTanz
Specialists in electronic, industrial, new wave and post-punk.
Discos Latimore
Soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop and black music. Pure groove.
Tattoos y Discos Sublima

One Record Club: vinyl culture, in community
La Ilustre is home to OneRecord.Club, a club born from a simple conviction: some records deserve to be heard differently. Not in the background, not with tracks skipped. With attention, with context and with the right people around you.
Each session revolves around a record or a curated selection. Sometimes there's a presentation, sometimes just music and good company. No membership list, no fee. Just a genuine desire to share what matters.
Monthly sessions
A chosen record, listened to from start to finish. With context: who made it, why it sounds the way it does, what makes it special.
Open community
No fees, no lists. Just people eager to discover music and share what moves them.
Analogue and real
Vinyl, turntable and conversation. An experience that can't be replicated on streaming.

What to drink while it plays?

We don't have a dance floor as such, but at some sessions your body moves on its own. And that's fine.
